Teleconference Summary Thanks to all who particpated in our conference on Thursday. Next month we will review some websites looking at features we like ( and dislike). Please email me sites you would like to review. I will compile a list for the June 23rd teleconference. For FNCE in St Louis, I will propose a round table session on using affiliates to generate website revenue.
Summary of our discussion:
Participants of the teleconference felt it was important to focus on increasing technology skills of the members of our profession. This group should not be limited to internet technology or traditional tools such as desktop and laptop computers. Members need to work with their state and local dietetic organizations to influence meeting plans to include technology. As a profession we have not kept up with other professions in the technology arena. We need to recruit suppport from members as well as sponsors to fund technology sessions and training for nutrition professionals. Areas of interest include technology management systems, non-traditional vehicles for accessing technology, and website design to include marketing strategies to generate revenue.  ¶ 5:35 AM
